Find an Organization

Finding an Organization is very similar to finding a person: simply type the name of the organization into the search field and click the Find button. It is often best to search using keywords in the company’s name (i.e. “air products chemicals” instead of “Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.”). If you can’t find an organization on the first attempt, try a more general search using one or two keywords, and scroll through the results to make sure the organization isn’t listed under a slightly different name. For additional search tips, click here.

The above search produces these two results:

The results are automatically sorted by organization name, and are marked with a building icon to indicate that these are records for whole organizations, and so contain much more information than a single Person Profile.

Notice that two results appear for Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., one of which has the note Government affairs offices to indicate that it is a specialized version of the listing. Specialized listings are labeled with the following notes:

• Federal offices in D.C. area – Federal institutions located in Washington, DC.
• Federal regional offices outside of D.C. area – Regional divisions of federal institutions.
• Government affairs offices – Divisions of companies, law firms and other organizations related to government affairs.
• Judicial Offices – Federal and state court systems.
• State Government Offices – Both executive and legislative branches of state governments.
• U.S. Offices – U.S. based divisions of foreign companies, countries, and organizations.

In this case, we are interested in finding a general listing for Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. rather than a specialized listing of its government affairs offices and executives, so we will select the first result in the grid above.
